Introduction:

This is the web page for Alex Gregory, a philosophy PhD student at The University of Reading. Broadly, I work on practical normativity.

My supervisor at Reading is Jonathan Dancy, and the provisional title of my PhD is: "Can we justify moral beliefs by appeal to the general nature of reasons?". My work focuses on the nature of prudential and moral reasons. Before coming to Reading in 2007, I achieved a BA in Philosophy, and an MA in Ethics and Political Philosophy, both at The University of Nottingham.
